Privacy Policy

Your privacy is the whole point.

PornAlert is a content blocker built to protect you, not study you. Blocking happens entirely on your device. We do not collect your browsing history, your screen content, or what you've blocked.

Last updated: 20 May 2026 Effective: 20 May 2026 App: PornAlert - Porn Blocker (Android)

Privacy summary

The short version: PornAlert is a productivity and protection tool. It runs on your device and keeps things to itself. We don't want to know what you browse, what you blocked, or who you are.

Local-only blocking

The blocklist lives on your device. Detected content is checked locally and discarded immediately.

No browsing history

We don't log, store, or transmit which sites you visit or what content was blocked.

Google services only

Ads (AdMob), subscriptions (Play Billing), and crash diagnostics use standard Google services.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how the PornAlert mobile application ("PornAlert", the "App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you install and use it on your Android device. PornAlert is published by Abhin Shah, based in India.

By installing or using PornAlert, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. What we don't see or collect

This section comes first because it matters most. We understand many people use PornAlert for private reasons - recovery, accountability, parenting, or focus - and you deserve to know exactly what we don't see.

PornAlert does not collect, store, transmit, or have any ability to view:

  • Your browsing history or the URLs you visit.
  • The content of websites or pages you open in any browser.
  • Which apps you opened, used, or installed.
  • Which sites, keywords, or apps the blocker matched against.
  • Messages, passwords, payment details, photos, files, or any personal content on your device.
  • Your name, email, phone number, contacts, or location.
  • Your screen content for advertising, profiling, training, or resale.

We do not require you to create an account. We do not maintain user profiles. The App has no backend server that stores information about you.

3. Accessibility Service disclosure

Important: PornAlert uses Android's Accessibility Service only after you explicitly enable it. This is the only way Android allows an app to detect what website is being shown in a browser or which app is in the foreground - and therefore the only way the blocker can do its job.

When enabled, the Accessibility Service may technically allow the App to observe visible text, app and browser context, screen transitions, and user interface events. We use this access for exactly one purpose:

  • Real-time blocking. The App compares what is currently visible against the local blocklist. If a match is found, the page or app is blocked. The information is processed in memory, used for that single check, and discarded immediately.

We do not use the Accessibility Service to:

  • Record, store, or transmit your screen content, browsing activity, or what was blocked.
  • Build advertising profiles, sell your data, or share screen content with third parties.
  • Read messages, passwords, payment information, or personal files.
  • Train any machine-learning models or upload data to our servers (we have no such servers).

You can disable Accessibility Service access at any time from Android Settings > Accessibility > PornAlert. If you do, blocking features that depend on it will stop working. The App also shows an in-app prominent disclosure and consent screen the first time you enable Accessibility; this Privacy Policy does not replace that disclosure.

4. Information the App processes locally

The App stores the following on your device only, to make the blocker work:

TypePurposeWhere it lives
Blocklist data Match against adult-content sites, keywords, and known apps in real time. On device (bundled with App, updated via app updates).
Your settings & toggles Remember which categories, browsers, and apps you chose to protect. On device (App preferences).
Permission state Track whether Accessibility, Notification, and other required permissions are granted. On device.
Subscription status Enable or restore premium features such as ad removal and advanced protection. Verified through Google Play Billing; cached on device.
Diagnostics & crash logs Detect crashes and reliability issues so we can fix bugs. Processed by Firebase Crashlytics under Google's policies.
Ad-serving data Show ads and measure performance (free version only). Processed by Google AdMob under Google's policies.

5. How we use information

  • To detect and block adult, pornographic, or other content you have chosen to restrict.
  • To apply your protection settings across supported browsers, apps, and search engines.
  • To remember your preferences and the status of required permissions.
  • To enable, restore, and manage premium features through Google Play Billing.
  • To show ads and measure ad performance in the free version of the App.
  • To identify crashes and reliability problems so we can improve the App.
  • To respond to your support requests when you contact us.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights where required.

6. Third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

  • Google AdMob: shows ads to free-version users and measures ad performance. May process device information, the Android Advertising ID (AAID), approximate location (from IP), and ad interactions.
  • Firebase Crashlytics: reports crashes and diagnostics. Processes device model, OS version, app version, crash stack traces, and a temporary installation identifier. No personally identifiable information is collected.
  • Firebase Analytics & Remote Config (if enabled): measures basic app performance and controls feature configuration. Processes app instance identifiers, event data, and technical diagnostics under Google's policies.
  • Google Play Billing: processes subscriptions and restores premium access. We never receive or store payment card details.
  • Google Play In-App Review & In-App Updates: handles rating prompts and helps keep the App up to date.

Review Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy and Google's advertising data practices at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

7. Ads and personalized advertising

PornAlert may show banner, interstitial, and app-open ads to users on the free plan, served through Google AdMob. AdMob may process device information, the Android Advertising ID (AAID), approximate location (derived from IP address), ad impressions, and ad interactions to deliver and measure ads. Depending on your settings and applicable law, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

To be very clear: PornAlert is a content blocker, not an adult-content platform. We do not host, display, promote, or monetize adult or sexually explicit material in any form. We do not share your browsing activity, screen content, blocklist matches, or blocked keywords with AdMob or any advertiser. Ads shown in the App are general-audience ads served by Google AdMob.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, PornAlert shows a consent prompt powered by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before serving personalized ads, where required. You can change your consent choice at any time inside the App.

You can also manage ad personalization or reset your Advertising ID in your device settings via Settings > Privacy > Ads or Settings > Google > Ads, depending on your Android version and manufacturer.

8. Subscriptions and Google Play Billing

PornAlert offers optional premium features (such as ad removal and advanced protection options) through subscriptions or one-time purchases processed by Google Play Billing. Google may process purchase identifiers, order details, subscription status, and payment information under Google Play's terms.

We never receive or store your full payment card number. The App uses subscription status only to enable, disable, restore, or manage premium features on your device.

9. Data storage, retention and deletion

PornAlert does not require account creation. Your settings, blocklist state, and preferences are stored on your device and remain there until you change them, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.

You can delete your data at any time by:

  • Resetting individual settings or toggles inside the App.
  • Clearing the App's storage in Android Settings > Apps > PornAlert > Storage.
  • Uninstalling the App to remove all locally stored data from your device.

Crash diagnostics processed by Firebase Crashlytics and ad data processed by AdMob are retained according to the policies and settings of those providers. Support emails are retained as long as needed to respond to you and comply with legal obligations.

For privacy questions or to request deletion of any data we may hold (such as a support email exchange), contact app.pb@justcodenow.com. We will respond to verifiable requests within 30 days.

10. Sharing of information

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We share information only:

  • With service providers (Google AdMob, Google Play, Firebase) acting on our behalf to deliver core App functionality.
  • When required by law, court order, or other valid legal process.
  • To protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public.
  • In connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), with notice to users where required.

11. Security

We rely on Android platform protections and on the security practices of Google services to safeguard the information processed by the App. Because PornAlert keeps blocking data on your device and does not transmit your browsing activity, the surface area for misuse is intentionally minimal. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your choices and controls

  • Enable or disable Accessibility Service access at any time in Android Settings.
  • Adjust blocking categories, browser support, and protection settings inside the App.
  • Manage notification permissions in Android Settings.
  • Manage or cancel premium subscriptions in your Google Play account.
  • Reset your Advertising ID or change ad personalization in your device settings.
  • Uninstall the App at any time to remove all locally stored data.

13. Children's privacy

PornAlert is designed to protect children when installed and configured by parents or guardians. The App itself is not directed to children under the age of digital consent in their region (13 in the United States, 13 to 16 in the European Union depending on the member state). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under those ages. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

14. International transfers

The third-party services used by the App are operated by Google and may process information outside of your country, including in the United States. By using the App, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws than those of your country of residence, subject to the protections offered by those services and applicable law.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the App or other appropriate channels as required by law or platform policy.

16. Regional rights and disclosures

16.1 European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, and the right to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

Our legal bases are: your consent (granting Accessibility, notification, or personalized-ads permissions), performance of a contract (delivering the blocker functionality), and legitimate interests (non-personalized ads, crash diagnostics, reliability). To exercise these rights or lodge a complaint, contact app.pb@justcodenow.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

16.2 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we process and the purposes (see Sections 4 and 5).
  • Request access to and deletion of personal information.
  • Opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

We do not sell your personal information. Personalized advertising through AdMob may be considered "sharing" under the CPRA; you can opt out via the in-app consent controls or your Android ad personalization settings. For other rights, contact app.pb@justcodenow.com.

16.3 Other regions

Residents of other jurisdictions (including India, Brazil, and Canada) may have similar rights under local data protection laws. Contact us at any time to exercise applicable rights.

17. Contact us

For privacy questions, access or deletion requests, or general feedback about the App, please reach out. We aim to respond to verifiable requests within 30 days.
